Week in Review | June 14 - Actively Gemma

This past week was basically spent prepping for the USATF-New England Meet that was supposed to be held today. I had signed up for it a few weeks ago, but unfortunately it became victim to the horrible Boston weather we've been having this summer.  It was rained out and rescheduled.  Of course, this came as a huge disappointment to me after the amazing training week I had.  On Monday, I had the best blocks sessions I've ever had in my life and I got new power clean max (135lbs)!  My coach even tweeted about it:

I'm hoping I'll be able to find another meet soon, but until then I'll just keep up with my summer training.

In other news, I finished my first vlog this week!  It took me basically all week to go through everything and edit it.  I loved how it turned out and definitely plan on doing more!  Probably not daily since my day-to-day life is pretty monotonous and boring, but if I know something exciting is happening, like a track meet or hanging out with friends I'll try to capture it.  Or maybe I might splice together some weekly recaps to go along with my Week in Review posts.
