WR | Why Is She So Awesome?
So, remember when I said training alone is awesome and has tons of perks? Well, this week I remembered that training with other people is also tons of fun and has its own perks, too.
This week my old teammate, Shelby, joined me for most of my practice sessions, and I was pretty hyped about it. We basically caught up with each other on life, and rambled and joked about everything and nothing. If that doesn't sound like a good time, then I don't know what a good time is (yes, I do). It was nice having a training partner again, especially since Shelby is amazing at anything athletic. She hasn't done a proper track workout in over 2 years, but she jumped back into things like she never left. It made for some fun competition between each other (like a jump-off to see who could get farther in our jump series that usually ended in a tie). Having a training partner definitely has its pros , too.
Yesterday (Saturday), I helped my friend Brandi move. The last time I saw her was right before I left for New York, so it was great catching up with her while we moved her stuff to her new apartment. It also reminded me that I need to get things sorted for my new place as well. While catching up we both agreed that "adulting" (as we like to call it) is hard and requires lots of money all the time. It's so weird to think of myself as an adult, still. I wonder when I'll feel like a real one. When I buy a house? When I have a steady career? Who knows? *shrugs*
Other than that, I had a pretty chill week. I spent most of my time eating, sleeping, and recovering, as usual. Hope you're having a relaxing (and/or) productive Sunday!

Sun – Rest
Mon – Plyometrics + Accel. (Blocks)
Tues – Biking + General Strength? (don't exactly remember, but I assume that's what I did)
Wed – The Second-Hardest Bounding in the World (it's getting better)
Thurs – Shakeout - Biking + General Strength
Fri – Plyo + Speed Dribbles
Sat – Shakeout
