I was inspired by Helga over at ditz-revoluton to do a 'life lately' post, since I haven't posted much of anything since coming home. Something about being home just makes me want to relax and not do anything at all, but I figured I'd let you guys know what life at home has been like.
What I've Been Up To Lately...
+ Construction work? Imagine my surprise when my mom and I pulled up to the house and all I saw were piles of wood and rocks all over the yard and driveway. My mom finally decided to get our crappy stairs redone, and despite the slight annoyance of getting around the construction, I can already tell it'll look amazing when it's done.
+ Fresh air is kinda cool, I guess. There's something about living around tons of greenery that makes going outside less of a hassle than usual. I've been watering my mom's garden while she's been at work during the day. It's actually a really calming thing to do and reminds me of back when I used to help her plant everything at the start of the Spring season.
+ Starting studying my Japanese, again. I'm seriously considering taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in December as a way to motivate myself to keep up with my studies. I've always wanted to become fluent in it, and I actually got pretty far in college. I'm thinking of taking one of the lower levels to start (N5 or N4), and then studying for another year before taking a level that could actually be used for business (N2).
+ Home cooking is one of the things I look forward to the most when I go home. The first night home I had yam and spinach and fish stew. I usually don't like fish stew, but somehow I just can't hate anything my mom makes 😝
+ I've been getting back into K-pop the past few days. I'm currently obsessed with the song "Go Crazy" by 2PM.
When you go home, do you feel lazy? Or even more productive than before?
