Getting Back on Track
Hi, guys! I’m back from that hiatus I definitely told you I was taking! Don’t remember me talking about it? 😉 I’ll “remind” you why I needed a break.
- Outdoor started. Which means traveling and competing, every week. When we go to meets, my time is either spent actually traveling, competing and attempting to get my body back to neutral (pre/post competition), and doing as much homework as I can get done in between all of that. Not to mention hotel Wi-Fi is nowhere near ideal for doing anything.
- School. Despite loving this blog, school comes first. Trying to stay caught up on school while traveling and competing is hard enough without the added stress of having to post, as well.
- I needed an emotional break. I wasn’t doing as well as I wanted to in my races and it was getting to me. On top of that, for some reason my body was falling apart for seemingly no reason, and I was
depressedfrustrated about it. I just wasn’t up for going over it for the millionth time on the blog and broadcasting it to the world.
Anyway, despite all that, I’m trying to get back into my blogging. My team is spending these two weeks to focus on training and getting out bodies back on track, which I’m very happy about. I’ve been able to catch up on work, my body has been feeling better, and I’m feeling a lot more optimistic about getting some good times in my next races.
I’ve also been able to come up with some new ideas for the blog that I want to roll out to make these sudden disappearing acts less likely to happen, so, look out for them! Subscribe to the blog so you don’t have to search and wonder about my updates in the future.
