It's only been three days since I've returned from the Congo, but it still feels like a lifetime ago. There are things I miss when I get back from bigger meets like this one - the teammates I rarely get to see, meeting so many new people, the feeling of pride that comes with competing for Ghana on an international level - just to name a few. Overall, my time Brazzaville, Congo was OK at best. A lot of things didn't go as expected, but I've learned over time to just roll with the punches and make the best of every opportunity I'm given.Read More
A few weeks ago, I managed to escape Boston after finding a few last minute track meets to race in. I jumped at the chance to test my legs, and immediately went into a frenzy to get things in order and get to New York. I planned on meeting my teammate, Flings, and her boyfriend, Ramon, when I got there, and basically hang with them for the week as we competed in New York and Canada. In between those meets, I hung out at their home in Syracuse and we all basically became best friends, haha.Read More
This past week has really had its up and downs.
- My past two meets have not gone well for me and I'm not sure why. Most things have been feeling fine, from start to transition...Maybe I'm just not being powerful enough? I'm not sure, but I'm going to try and work on it with Sanders (my coach). Next week I have a meet in Nigeria, which I'm pretty excited/anxious about. It's the same meet I wasn't able to go to last year, so this will be my first time competing there. I'm hoping things will turn around there, both individually and with our 4x100 relay. It's never fun when things are going your way, but I've been trying to keep myself pepped up with quotes and random thoughts to myself like this one...
I wrote this whole post earlier today, but when I came back to edit it, I found that it hadn't saved properly 😭

Day 2 of the Championships featured me running pretty much all day. I had the 60 prelims and semis, as well as the 200 prelims to run, and I was excited to get the day started.Read More
Last weekend I competed at the BU Valentine Invitational. As the biggest track meet that BU hosts, it's always a fun experience to both compete in and watch.Read More
This week I ran at two separate meets: The Harvard Crimson Elite Meet on Friday and Boston University's Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday. During the week I was feeling pretty good. If you're caught up in my posts, then you know my body felt a little off a few weeks ago, and I've been bouncing back from that. This week I really felt like I was I almost back at 100%; ready to push myself to get some good times.Read More
