Terriers Compete at Harvard Crimson Elite Meet On Friday

First of 2 meets this weekend; Compete in Scarlet & White Invitational Saturday

The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams competed in the first of two meets this weekend at the Crimson Elite Meet at Harvard University on Friday.

In the field events on the men’s side, senior Ethan Knight finished first in the shot put with a throw of 16.37m while Junior Reuben Horace placed second in the weight throw with an 18.86m toss.

Coming off a second-place finish at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational last weekend, senior Nikolaos Farmakidis continued his impressive season by finishing first in the pole vault with a 4.81m effort.

Sophomore Cameron Williams took fifth in the 60m dash with a time of 6.94 while sophomore David Oluwadara finished second in the long jump, posting a jump of 7.07m.

On the women’s side, Senior Gemma Acheampong continued her strong season with a third-place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 7.54.

Senior Tessa Runels finished fourth in the triple jump with an 11.73m effort in a field of 10.
